Save the Date! Elder James R. Rasband will be the featured speaker at our area's Nov. 7 Regional Conference.

Elder Rasband brings a rich background that will resonate with our local JRCLS members:

• West Coast roots: Born in Seattle, raised in Pebble Beach.

• West Coast experience: Clerked for Judge J. Clifford Wallace on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Diego and practiced law in Seattle with Perkins Coie.

• Academic leadership: Former dean of BYU Law School and BYU Academic Vice President.

• Legal scholar: Co-author of Natural Resources Law and Policy, with deep expertise in environmental and public lands law.

• Church service: General Authority Seventy since 2019. Watch his recent General Conference address

His unique perspective—as a legal scholar, Church leader, and West Coast native—makes this a truly can’t-miss event.

This virtual event will be broadcast via Zoom. We plan to host a local gathering with dinner (eating at 5:30 p.m.) at the Eureka Space, followed by the group viewing of Elder Rasband's remarks. Members will also have the option to join individually as well.
