Every chapter includes a list of all the automated emails and newsletters sent on behalf of that chapter with statistics including opens, clicks, deliveries, and unsubscribes.
This number represents the total amount of unique opens. Unique opens refers to the number of unique recipients that opened the email. It does not tally the number of times the same recipient re-opens the email. For example: if the same recipient opens the email ten times, it will only count once.
This refers to the number of unique clicks for all links included in the email. Links include the unsubscribe link found in the email. If the user has not included any links in the email, then this number refers to the number of unique clicks for the unsubscribe link.
Calculating unique clicks per link
If the email/newsletter contains two or more links, the dashboard does not detail the number of unique clicks per link. This means that if your email only contains one link (the unsubscribe link) and you have five recipients, the maximum number of clicks would be 5. If your email contains three links (including the unsubscribe link) and you have five recipients, the maximum number of clicks would be 15 (3x5).
Bevy does not track the distribution of unique clicks when there are more than two links and the number of clicks is less than or equal to the maximum.
A delivery is recorded when a request to send the email results in the email being accepted by the receiving server. However, this does not necessarily mean the message has reached the recipient’s inbox. Some users and some email applications may filter the email away from the inbox even though the email was delivered to the recipient's email server.
Unsubscribed
This refers to the number of unique clicks to the unsubscribe link. Depending on the recipient’s security, spam checkers may click this (and other) links in an email on their behalf to verify the validity. This does not mean that the member successfully unsubscribed. Instance Admins can request to have an unsubscribe report run for chapter and global (admin) unsubscribes.
Limitations of the Metrics
Our email analytics for clicks is not a straight unique click for unique click measurement. If the email recipient has spam checkers or blockers or is run through anti-virus software, that can count as a unique click in addition to the recipient clicking on the link. So, in essence, you could sometimes have a minimum of two clicks per link because of those spam checkers/blockers/anti-virus software.
