Women in Law Webinar for BYU Pathways

On May 17, 2024, BYU Pathways, an online degree program, and JRCLS Women in Law teamed up for a pilot pre-law webinar providing information about pursuing a career in law.  Over 200 U.S.-based Pathways students signed up for the pilot webinar, while another 50 viewed the event via Facebook Live.  Simone Senior, an attorney practicing corporate law in Pittsburgh, PA, and current tax LLM student at NYU, led a discussion with law students Nikki Maxon (BYU Law JD/MBA 2025 candidate) and Wendy Neeley (Syracuse University School of law candidate 2026), and recent law graduate Shannon Howard (BYU Law 2024), about their personal calling to the law and experiences in law school.  Panelists also answered questions submitted by Pathways students addressing topics such as law school prerequisite requirements and entrance exams, the cost of law school, and that there is no age limit to attending.  Panelists also addressed questions about how to balance family and law.   To view the webinar, please click here: BYU Pathways Women in Law Seminar
