On October 25, 2025, the Barranquilla chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society was inaugurated. Barranquilla is the capital of the Atlántico, the cultural and economic center of the Colombian Caribbean Coast, and the fourth most populated city in the country.
The inauguration meeting was attended by lawyers from the city who wish to have opportunities to serve the community. Chapter members elected Jose Miguel de la Rosa Castro as chapter chair, Gabriela Diaz Perez chair-elect and other members of the chapter board. Cristina Ortega, South America Northwest Area Chair, was also present to answer questions and motivate members to work as other chapters around the world have done.
Members of the Colombia Barranquilla chapter intend to work in accordance with the Law Society’s mission to promote fairness and virtue through the strength that the personal religious convictions of its members bring to the practice of the legal profession.
