In the month of July, 2024, the La Paz, Bolivia chapter celebrated its fifth year of operation with a devotional and anniversary dinner.
The dinner was attended by members of the chapter, as well as prominent lawyers in Bolivia, such as Silvia Maritza Portugal Espinoza, president of the Departmental Court of Justice of La Paz, and Danny Paucara Marquez, president of the Bar Association of La Paz.
These guests highlighted the valuable work of chapter members in serving the community and defending religious freedom. In addition, they reaffirmed their support of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society continuing to fulfill its mission.
Santiago Cocarico, La Paz Chapter Chair, also emphasized that the society focuses on the professional and academic excellence of its members, allowing them to best serve society in proclaiming the rights of religious freedom and bringing justice to the most vulnerable.
Additional attendees included members of the Law Society from Brazil, Philippines, Mexico and Peru, who attended virtually and shared their experiences as members of JRCLS.
