"Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness: Foundations of Freedom" is the theme for the 2026 J. Reuben Clark Annual Conference, held February 26 - 27, 2026, at American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. The conference is a unique opportunity for attorneys and law students of faith from across the world to strengthen their commitment to public service, professional excellence, and promoting fairness and virtue founded upon the rule of law. With a keynote address from a U.S. Supreme Court Justice, a fireside event in the historic Washington National Cathedral, and an optional moonlight tour of U.S. capitol monuments, this conference promises to be an enlightening and inspiring experience for lawyers and law students of faith.

Conference SpeakersThe conference will feature the following speakers:

Conference Schedule:  Thursday, February 26: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm EST; Friday, February 27: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm EST.

Pricing: Registration pricing is based on category of attendee: attorney (private practice; government/non-profit/non-practicing); law student; and guest. Prices double after February 10, 2026. See registration page for details.

Rex E. Lee Lunch: In conjunction with the Annual Conference, the D.C. Mid-Atlantic Chapter will be holding its annual Rex E. Lee Lunch. Attendance at this lunch is included in Annual Conference registration. As this will be a combined event, there will be limited seating and some participants may be seated in an adjoining room for lunch and to watch the event via livestream. Continuing Legal Education Credit: 10 CLE credits are pending approval from state bars in Delaware, Utah and Virginia. New York’s Approved Jurisdiction Policy applies. Attendees from other jurisdictions will be provided with session materials for use in applying for CLE credit from their respective state bar associations. 

Optional Post-Conference Excursion: Evening Monuments Tour: Washington, D.C. by Moonlight. Thursday, February 27, 2026. 5:30 - 8:30 pm.

Thursday night only: The fireside event will be held on Thursday, February 26 at the Washington National Cathedral. Complimentary shuttles will be provided to the Washington National Cathedral before the fireside, and to select hotels following the fireside. Dress Code: Thursday, February 26: Business Formal; Friday, February 27: Business Casual

Cancellations & Refunds: No refunds will be issued for excursion cancellations after January 26, 2026, or for conference cancellations after February 10, 2026.
