The J. Reuben Clark Law Society encourages each chapter to perform legal religious freedom training for chapter members and other local attorneys at least one time per year. The training may be conducted via Zoom or in person and may be of any duration. For example, a chapter may want to hold a lunch Zoom session for 30 minutes, an in-person evening program for one hour, or a Saturday meeting with two or three hours of presentations. Local needs and circumstances should be considered in conducting the religious freedom training.
At the link below are seven suggested training lessons. Each lesson is intended to be 30 minutes, including time for questions. The lessons are basic outlines of religious freedom topics. Presenters should add additional content specifically tailored to the local community and jurisdiction. Instructors may also choose to discuss other topics related to the local community, including specific cases and religious freedom topics.
