Lira Goswami is a founding partner of ALA, with a law degree from Delhi University, a master’s degree from Columbia University, New York and over 30 years of experience in international business transactions and strategic advisory work. She regularly advises multinational clients doing business in India in addition to foreign Governments and diplomatic missions like the British and Canadian High Commission.

Lira has also provided legal support to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in India for over two decades and had the privilege of recently participating at the BYU’s Law and Religion Symposium.

Lira regularly speaks on cross border investments, sustainability, moral leadership and women empowerment, She has written on several Indian law issues including Disinvestment; Related party Transactions; Foreign Exchange Regulations; Insurance as a tool of Wealth Management; Law and Morality; Legal Obligation and Civil Disobedience etc.

Her pro-bono activities include legal assistance for charitable organizations including Save the Children. She recently instituted a Significant Impact Award for students making the most impact on the lives of others.
