Peru Lima Chapter’s Legal Clinic Makes A Positive Impact in the Canto Grande Stake

On October 13, 2024, in collaboration with self-reliance leaders and the Canto Grande Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Peru Lima Chapter held a legal clinic providing personalized legal advice to members from various units. The event was attended by stake leaders and focused on the services offered by the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, highlighting the ongoing support provided to the community throughout the year. The legal clinic enabled attendees to address their legal concerns directly and effectively, benefiting over 75 individuals.      

The event was led by Dr. Jennifer Herrera, who facilitated discussions on topics related to the services offered by the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, an organization that has closely collaborated with the community to provide free legal assistance throughout the year.  

In addition to general presentations, attendees had the opportunity to engage in personalized legal consultations. A total of 10 individual cases were addressed, providing quick responses and practical solutions to the legal issues faced by participants.

The event received a very positive response, with strong participation from stake members. Attendees expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to resolve legal matters in a trustworthy environment, emphasizing the beneficial impact these services have had on their lives and the community as a whole.

The success of the Legal Clinic reflects the commitment of the Canto Grande Stake and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society to deliver high-quality legal assistance to community members. This event also sets a precedent for future legal clinics, aiming to expand the coverage and reach of services.
